An exploration of inner transformation following migration.

Spiritual Shift emerged from a period of personal reflection following my migration to Aotearoa New Zealand. Moving between countries brought not only physical change, but an internal shift, a need to understand what I was carrying with me and what I could begin to release.

I became interested in the idea of unlayering: gradually separating myself from accumulated thoughts, expectations and emotional weight in search of a quieter state of being. Rather than looking outward for fulfilment, the work became an exploration of finding contentment within.

This process informed the visual language of the collection. Layers accumulate and fall away around the body; contrasting black and ivory surfaces move between density and openness; repeated lines trace pathways through the forms. The garments became physical expressions of an internal transition from complexity and heaviness towards clarity, freedom and inner peace.
