Cinematic Archive
Through long-term research projects inspired by history, mythology, spiritual traditions, and cultural heritage, her practice investigates the ways in which societies preserve meaning across generations. Drawing from diverse cultural narratives and historical sources, she creates immersive bodies of work that explore the intersections of identity, place, belief, and collective remembrance.
Her projects are conceived as chapters within an expanding artistic archive dedicated to cultural dialogue and understanding. Each body of work emerges from sustained research into the histories, philosophies, and symbolic languages of particular communities, landscapes, and civilizations. Through this process, art becomes a space where cultural memory can be encountered, contemplated, and shared.
BLACK LIONESS
Paris, France • 2025
Inspired by the transformative spirit of Kaali, Black Lioness explores strength, protection, feminine power, and transformation through sculptural form and meticulous hand craftsmanship.
Filmed within the historic interiors of Hôtel Le Marois in Paris during Paris Fashion Week, this cinematic work places the collection in dialogue with one of the city’s remarkable heritage buildings. The elegant architecture, light, and atmosphere provide a powerful setting that enhances the sculptural language of the wearable artworks.
Rather than documenting a runway presentation, the film reveals how each sculpture responds to space, movement, and architectural surroundings. It captures the textures, silhouettes, and emotional presence of the collection in a way that still photography cannot, becoming an extension of the artwork itself and preserving a significant chapter in the public life of Black Lioness.
EOS – THE GODDESS OF DAWN
Piazza del Duomo, Milan, Italy • 2024
Inspired by EOS, the Greek goddess of dawn, this cinematic film explores themes of renewal, hope, transformation, and the quiet power of new beginnings. The wearable sculpture captures the first light of day as a metaphor for personal and creative evolution, expressed through sculptural form, movement, and handcrafted detail.
Filmed in Piazza del Duomo in front of the iconic Duomo di Milano, the work creates a dialogue between contemporary wearable sculpture and one of Italy’s most celebrated architectural landmarks. The historic setting enhances the narrative of emergence and light, allowing the sculpture to exist beyond the runway within a place deeply connected to art, history, and cultural heritage.
Rather than documenting a fashion presentation, the film captures the relationship between movement, architecture, and atmosphere, revealing how the sculpture responds to its surroundings. It preserves not only the craftsmanship of the work but also the experience of encountering it within one of Europe’s most significant cultural spaces.
